Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Last updated: March 2026

1. Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps Tekwurx Limited (“Tekwurx”) has taken during the financial year ending 2026 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.

Tekwurx is committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and with integrity. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to implementing proportionate and risk-based controls.

2. Our Business and Operating Model

Tekwurx is a UK-based IT consultancy specialising in IT Operations Management (ITOM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM). Our services include:

  • Consultancy and implementation services
  • Resale of enterprise software solutions from global technology partners
  • Development and resale of proprietary software

All software development is conducted in-house within the United Kingdom by directly employed staff. We do not outsource development activities.

Tekwurx operates a remote-first model, with no reliance on physical office facilities or associated services.

3. Our Supply Chains

Our supply chain is limited in scope and primarily consists of:

  • Large, established global technology vendors (e.g. SaaS providers)
  • Professional services and corporate support providers

We do not:

  • Operate manufacturing or product assembly processes
  • Use offshore outsourcing or third-party development resources
  • Engage labour-intensive or high-risk services (e.g. construction, cleaning, or temporary labour providers)

4. Risk Assessment

We adopt a structured, risk-based approach to assessing exposure to modern slavery.

Based on our current operating model, Tekwurx has assessed its overall risk as low, supported by:

  • A UK-based, directly employed workforce subject to UK employment law
  • Fully in-house software development
  • A supply chain dominated by large multinational organisations with established compliance frameworks
  • Absence of high-risk sectors, geographies, or labour models

We recognise that risk can evolve and commit to reassessing this position periodically.

5. Due Diligence and Supplier Oversight

5.1 Supplier Segmentation

We categorise suppliers based on risk profile and level of influence:

  • Tier 1 Strategic Suppliers (Low Risk):
Large global technology vendors (e.g. SaaS providers)
  • Other Suppliers (Low Risk):
    Professional services and support providers

5.2 Due Diligence Approach

Given our supplier profile, Tekwurx applies proportionate due diligence measures:

  • Review of publicly available Modern Slavery Statements and ESG disclosures for key suppliers
  • Consideration of supplier size, regulatory environment, and governance frameworks
  • Ongoing awareness of supplier commitments to ethical labour practices

Where we act as a reseller of third-party software, we recognise that we do not have direct control over upstream supply chains. In these cases, reliance is placed on supplier transparency and regulatory compliance.

5.3 Contractual Controls

Where appropriate, Tekwurx seeks to incorporate ethical and compliance expectations within contractual arrangements.

6. Policies and Governance

Tekwurx maintains internal governance frameworks that support ethical conduct, including:

  • Code of Conduct
  • Whistleblowing Policy
  • Ethical business practices embedded within leadership oversight

Responsibility for modern slavery risk sits with senior management, who ensure that appropriate controls remain in place.

7. Training and Awareness

Due to the low-risk nature of our operations, formal training programmes are proportionate and targeted. However:

  • Senior leadership maintains awareness of modern slavery obligations
  • Ethical considerations are integrated into supplier selection and business decision-making

Training requirements will be reviewed if the risk profile changes.

8. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

To monitor effectiveness, Tekwurx tracks the following:

  • 100% of strategic suppliers assessed via desk-based due diligence
  • 0 reported incidents of modern slavery within our operations or supply chain
  • Annual review and approval of this statement by senior management

9. Reporting and Whistleblowing

Tekwurx promotes a culture of openness and accountability. Employees and stakeholders are encouraged to raise concerns relating to unethical conduct, including modern slavery.

All concerns are treated seriously and investigated appropriately, with protections in place for whistleblowers.

10. Continuous Improvement

Tekwurx is committed to continuous improvement. We will:

  • Review this statement annually
  • Reassess risk if our operating model or supply chain changes
  • Enhance controls where proportionate and necessary

11. Approval

This statement has been approved by the Directors of Tekwurx Limited and will be reviewed annually.
